Letter To Our Birthmother

Dear Birthmother,

We are so thankful for your courage and selflessness that has led you to make the very difficult decision to share your unborn child.  You are giving your child an opportunity to have a limitless future, and that is a priceless gift.   We already love you for the choice you have made to share your child with an unfamiliar family, and we hope to honor your choice by providing a loving home for your child to grow, play, learn and experience life in.

Four years ago, a wonderful woman gave us the opportunity to be a family by sharing her daughter with us- we adopted Avery when she was a newborn, and have rejoiced everyday to be parents, and to have such a precious gift in our lives.  We want to share our love with another little one, and Avery is excited to be a big sister!

Our lives revolve around each other, and we are as deeply in love today as when we married 11 years ago.  Our love for each other is strong because it is anchored in our faith in Jesus.  The same love we have for each other and our shared love for our God will help us to love your child completely and selflessly.  We have struggled with infertility, and are more convinced than ever that adoption is the right way to grow our family.  We have a lot of love to offer your child, and hope that you will want to share him or her with us.

Renee used to be a full-time teacher.  She now teaches special education children online, which allows her to stay home with our daughter.   Renee is one of the kindest, most patient and empathic human beings you will ever meet.   Shawn is an administrator at a middle school, and works everyday with children to help them grow and be successful.  Shawn is patient, funny and loving.  Avery is vivacious, full of life and a genuinely sensitive and caring child.  We love being parents, and love being a family, and are already planning all the things we want to do and share with our new baby.

We have lots of friends and relatives, and our child will have lots of playmates.  There are so many people in our lives who cannot wait to meet the new baby, and shower him or her with tons of love.

We live in the metro area of a large southern city that offers all kinds of opportunities and adventures.  We take full advantage of all that our area has to offer, and our time is filled with interesting activities and adventures.  We often say that we collect experiences, and our days are usually spent finding new and interesting things to see and do.

We are so thankful that you took the time to read this letter, and to learn a little about us.  We hope you choose to share your gift of love with us.  We want you to be assured that your child will be loved, nurtured and provided for in every way possible.

With Much Love,

Shawn, Renee and Avery
